The highest joy and the greatest privilege of the life of glory is expressed in verse 4 of chapter 22:”They shall see his [God’s] face, and his name shall be on their foreheads.” In short, existence on the new earth will be marked by perfect knowledge of God, perfect enjoyment of God, and perfect service of God.

It is pretty amazing. I think I had a more correct view of heaven than you describe but it wasn’t very real to me. So I’ve been taking to heart the reality as a living hope. How cool!

It just rocked my world again!! My upbringing really must have messed me up and I had a lot of presumptions of what heaven would look like and be like. I was brought up to believe that in heaven I would have to sing “Holy, Holy, Holy” for eternity on my face, and anyone that didn’t like that idea was not spiritual. To be really honest the idea of doing that sounded so completely boring as a kid and still now. I realize that now heaven it not that, but reading your writing on it makes me excited and long for that day!
